Weekly Update - April 9th, 2012

Hope you all had a great Holy Week and Happy Easter!

It's hard to believe that we are less than 3 months away from leaving on our summer mission to New Orleans. Eclectic Cafe is just around the corner and it's our last fundraiser of the year! The forms are due April 15th and bidding starts April 22nd, so get your entries in quick!

It is also not too late to sign up for summer camp at Camp All Saints. Senior High and Junior High Camp starts June 17-23rd and Week 2 for Junior High Camp is June 24th-30th. Sign up at Camp All Saints Summer Camp 2012

Join us this Wednesday for dinner at MooYah's and help us raise money for our Summer Missions. We will be hosting a fundraising dinner from 5-8pm. So come eat and then go hear the bells play. Junior High students, bring your families to dinner at MooYah's  for our Wednesday gathering.

There will be no Senior High this week to allow those who traveled to Oklahoma a chance to rest and get ready for school.

I would ask your prayers for my travel this week. I am heading to Kansas to be part of a writers round table for the creation of new materials for youth ministers. I am also meeting with a publisher about writing my own book. I will be gone Thursday and Friday. Thank you for your prayers!

Weekly Update - March 12, 2012

Ah Spring Break! A chance to relax, breath deeply, and catch up on sleep .... umm Nope! It's Garage Sale Week! Hope you and your student can participate in the pricing, sorting, tagging, and preparing for this weekends Garage Sale. We will be gathering at the church from 5-8pm every night to work on this fundraiser! Come join us!

Please don't forget that the next installment of your students mission fund is due March 15th. Your students balance needs to be $462 by March 15th. Please call me with any questions, and if we need to work out a plan for helping your student with individual fundraisers, I do have some ideas to share. :)

Remember NO JR HI this week! We will be working on the garage sale, so come help instead!

Dear Parents and Volunteers,

I can hardly believe January is drawing to a close! 
We are having a marvelous time in youth ministry this month. The senior high group came up with a challenging and terribly fun game of Loser's Jeopardy on Sunday that had me laughing all the way home!
Special thanks this week to Andrea and Neal Roberts for filling in for me Wednesday while I was with my kido at the ER! He is better and I'm more together now!
Looking forward to a great Bishop's Ball this weekend. Please make sure your student RSVPs by January 25th  for themselves and their dates!

Our chaperons for the ball are Fr. Bill, Mtr. Betsy, Gardner Randall, Andrea and Neal Roberts, and Barbara Flickinger. A big thanks to them for making it work. They will be at the church to transport all our youth to and from the cathedral.

Dear Parents and Volunteers, Happy St. Nick's Day!  Our Christmas Party is coming up! December 18th 6:00-9:00pm at Epiphany. We will be treated to a custom laser tag course here at Epiphany. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
I am thankful for a lot of things this year, but one of my biggest blessings it being able to serve a long side some wonderful parent volunteers!

A special thanks to the SENIOR HI DADs who have been out in force this fall semester and to Andrea Roberts for being our JR HI parent the whole fall term.

Thanks to all the Parents (and Sharon Ricks) for donating the food for our Servant Sunday. We were able to feed about 20 meals at Brandywine and take a complete Thanksgiving meal to the fire station.
